Thanks for visiting my site and reading my blog. With a view to all things being transparent – here’s a few points I want to make clear about all aspects of this site and my social media accounts.
I am registered with the Health & Care Professions Council and the BDA – Association of UK Dietitians and adhere to their ethical codes of conduct and commitment to continued professional development. I am bound to provide evidence-based information that is neither false or misleading.
All views and opinions expressed on this website or on any of my linked social media accounts are my own and do not reflect the view or opinions of my employers or associates.
The information provided myself on this website or any of my social media accounts is general and does not substitute seeing a dietitian, healthcare professional or GP. Please seek appropriate medical advice if you have any concerns about your own health.
Sponsorship, reviews and advertising:
Sponsorship: I will always fully disclose if sponsorship has been received in the form of free products or money in return for a blog post or promotion of any kind.
Product reviews: All product reviews on this website are 100% my own opinion. I will always state if I purchased the product myself, received it as a gift or received any compensation for the review. Receiving any products will never bias my reviews or blog posts in any way – as per the Internet Advertising Bureau standards.
I will only ever review or feature products / services which I believe could be of interest and benefit to my readers. Mentioning a product / service doesn’t automatically mean that I endorse or recommend this product / service. I will never make or support unjustifiable statements relating to particular products / services (as per HCPC & BDA guidelines) or promote one product / service over another (as per food industry regulations).
Affiliate links: I am a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to www.amazon.co.uk.
Payments made through clicking any affiliate links on my posts may earn me a small commission at no cost to yourself. It does not affect the price you pay for the item. This helps towards the development and maintenance of this website, recipes and blog posts.
I will clearly indicate where any affiliate links are included in an article and declare when a fee has been paid to me to advertise any product.
Advertising and promotion through the blog
Where I accept adverts, I will not promote or endorse any product that I dislike or disagree with or that . I will not write a critical review, I simply will not review the product / service at all.
The science bit
Nutrition, as with all sciences, is constantly changing and guidelines are regularly updated. I will endeavour to update archived posts as advice changes.
Also to the Rds4disclosureuk team for their guidance and helping to ensure transparency in nutrition and dietetics.
A special mention for my partner Adam Sheldon @ Big Egg Films for his never-ending support and help with video and photography for this site (not an affiliate link!).
